They are obtained from seeds, beans, nuts and certain fruits. Basically, vegetable oils are fats which are liquid at room temperature. Vegetable oils contain a mixture of saturated fatty acids, monounsaturated and polyunsaturated. There are also a few vegetable oils such as palm oil and coconut oil, which are relatively high in saturated fatty acids and, therefore, are more solid. The best way to ingest the vegetable oil is in its natural state as it changes its characteristics when heated and can be harmful to health.
